Red Chilli Pickle
Cumin (Jeera) Seeds
Methi (Fenugreek) Seeds
Vinegar or Assam Lemon Juice
Turmeric (Haldhi) Powder
Wash the red chillies and wipe dry with a kitchen towel.
Dry the chillies in sun shine for 2-3 days.
Now, cut the chillies into small pieces.
Heat ajwain, jeera, methi and kala jeera in a pan.
Now, make coarse powder of the mixture in a grinder.
Now, heat oil in a pan.
Allow the oil to cool down.
Add chilli pieces and the masala powder along with turmeric and salt. Mix well.
Now, place the pickle in sunshine for a day.
In the evening, add either 1/2 cup vinegar or 1/2 cup of Assam Lemon juice. Mix well.
Transfer the pickle to a air-tight glass jar.
Occasionally, place the jar in sunshine.
Your pickle is ready.
Ensure that pickle is kept away from moisture.
Use dry spoon to serve pickle.
